Some shoes and lower body work at the Byblos show at the fashion week in Milan

The first images from the Byblos show at the fashion week in Milan.

I was at the beginning of the catwalk/runway and it was a good spot to capture the models coming out and going back in. The surface of the catwalk was of the shiny type which gave an interesting reflection. So I thought it looked nice to just show the girl's feet with a little reflection.

For anyone interested in technical information, I shot it with available light with my Nikon D700. The lens I used is my AF Nikkor 50mm F1.8 which to me is an amazing lens. I bought it about 10 years ago for about 90€ and it is supersharp. Really hard to see the difference between this lens and my much more expensive lenses. Great bargain I would say.

  1. Great pictures! Could you also let me know what diafragma and shutterspeed you used to take these pictures?

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks for your comment Barry,

The shutter speed was 1/1000s, aperture f4, ISO 800. Although it is possible with the Nikon D700 if always prefer to stay under 800 ISO. Beyond that you start to see some grain under difficult lighting conditions.
